Shoe Fetish? More Like a Shoe Orgy!

Posted By Fashion on Aug 13, 2007 at 3:30AM

Warning shoeaholics: V Magazine's recent Foot Fetish story features Fall's most exciting shoes in a different light, to say the least. As you can see, the Diors (left) and Calvins (right) are not alone: they are intertwined with naked bodies! It actually looks quite painful, but pain is beauty, right? I admit, some of the contortions are too strange for words and NSFW (not suitable for work), but overall this is just brilliant. Now if only we could take such refuge in our most glamorous footwear in real life! The world would definitely be a more interesting place.

Flat Out The Chicest Flats Out There

Posted By Fashion on Apr 28, 2007 at 4:02PM

Flats are one of the best fashion creations, in my humble opinion. They are stylish, comfortable, effortless and have I'm-not-trying-too-hard written all over them. No matter how adorned or embellished a pair of flats are, the fact that they are so grounded gives them an air of casualness. Life & Style seems to think they're pretty rad, too! Here are the week's best-selling styles.

The Look for Less: Via Spiga Brown Modul Wedges

Posted By Fashion on Apr 15, 2007 at 12:33PM

Here's a really interesting and spot on Look for Less via Karla Sugar! These Via Spiga Brown Modul Wedges, $150, are exotic and retro at the same time. I have a thing for brown sandals; one of my BFFs made fun of me one summer because I bought another pair of brown sandals and she totally called me out on it. What can I say? It's the hippie chic side of me. Anywho, these Via Spiga angular wedges look very comfy with a cork sole and back-friendly height; the chocolate brown suede webbing provides an exotic flair while the ankle strap emphasizes the retro. Like what you see?

Fab's Spring Shoe Guide! Exotic Flats

Posted By Fashion on Mar 23, 2007 at 5:02PM

I am sad to bring Fab's Spring Shoe Guide to a close. I hope I enlightened you in what fabulous, wonderful shoe options we all have this Spring. What were your favorites? Mine were wood-heeled wedges and what I'm going to show you today: exotic flats. Many argue that flats are the healthiest shoes for your feet and back but this is not always true. I have a bit of a flat sandal fetish; when it's super hot I don't have the energy for heels - unless I'm going out for a hot night in the city! Here are some exotic flats to take you away to mystical shoe lands...

Fab's Spring Shoe Guide! Mini Wedges

Posted By Fashion on Mar 22, 2007 at 4:39PM

Mini wedges are another 70s era shoe throwback, along with wood-heeled wedges and cork heels. Look, I don't make the trends, I just report them! No wait, ok, sometimes I like to think I do make the trends. If you take a look at my shoe closet you will see many shoes that could have been leftover from the set of Three's Company. I don't know why, but 70s inspired shoes are just so groovy.

Here's a Spring shoe choice that is probably the most comfortable out of all the ones you will see in my Spring Shoe Guide. Great with jeans or a flowy skirt, what do you all think of these? Fab's Spring Shoe Guide! Open-Toed D'Orsays

Posted By Fashion on Mar 21, 2007 at 2:50PM

Here is the most ladylike option you will see during my Fab Spring Shoe Guide. Open-toed d'orsays are the best option for a cocktail party, wedding or when you just want to feel womanly. They are also sexy since they accentuate the ankle and the sleek sides of the foot. Move aside you wood-heeled wedges and make room for the femme fatale d'orsay.

Fab's Spring Shoe Guide! Wood-Heeled Wedges

Posted By Fashion on Mar 20, 2007 at 4:36PM

Continuing on with Fab's Spring Shoe Guide. If cork heels aren't your bag of chips try on some wood-heeled wedges for size. These have a similar retro look but are more comfy and youthful; it's still a good idea to do some heel stretches though.

Fab's Spring Shoe Guide! Cork Heels

Posted By Fashion on Mar 19, 2007 at 2:50PM

You all knew this was coming...

The one accessory a woman can't have too many of: shoes, shoes, glorious shoes! Whether you're a live-in-heels-die-in-heels woman, shoe chameleon, or laid back flat gal, there is something for everyone this Spring. Seeing as how it's Monday, and we should all be rested and refreshed (right?), I'm going to start off with cork heels. These may have a tainted Candie's past, but the casual cork is downright sexy and flirty. I would stick to natural accent colors as not to revert to the corks' old cheesy Candie's ways.
